Wendell, N.C. — A Thursday afternoon wreck involving three tractor-trailers caused traffic delays on eastbound U.S. Highway 64, authorities said.

The chain-reaction wreck occurred between Rolesville and Edgemont roads and closed one lane while authorities cleared the rigs from the highway and cleaned up a small fuel spill.

All lanes were cleared by 8 p.m.

Two people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

There was no word on what caused the wreck, which remains under investigation, authorities said.
