Site SearchDurham, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Thursday in connection with the shooting death of a man on Christmas Day, police said.
Kenneth Lamont Lunsford, 21, of 1315 Morreene Road, Apt. J-7, was charged with murder.
Jalil Stokes, 21, of North Elizabeth Street, was shot and killed while driving on the Durham Freeway near Chapel Hill Street, police said.
Officers initially thought Stokes had wrecked his Lincoln Town Car, but they found a bullet hole in the car and realized he had been shot.
