Chapel Hill, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill tested a siren system Wednesday. The audible alerts are part of the Alert Carolina program.
The sirens, once implemented will warn students, faculty and staff about potentially dangerous situations on campus.
North Carolina State University tested a similar siren system across campus earlier this month.
