WW II 'Explosive' Found in Wake Barn

e-mail print friendly

People cleaning out a barn just outside of Wendell Tuesday evening got a surprise: what looked like a World War II-era explosive.

Authorities said the explosive found at 6317 Weathers Road was a training device and did not pose a danger.

Several families who lived nearby left their houses until authorities determined it was safe for them to return.

privateassassin, that's funny!

Usually, references to World War II are abbreviated as WWII, and not WII...from first glance, I thought someone had found a Nintendo Wii explosive in a Wake County barn, ha ha ha! The coffee hasn't quite kicked in yet!
