Raleigh, N.C. — Triangle residents within a 10-mile radius of the the Shearon Harris nuclear plant could get an earful Wednesday morning.
Progress Energy plans a full-volume test of a new siren system at the plant between 10 and 11 a.m. The siren will sound for approximately three minutes.
If the tests are successful, the new sirens could be implemented April 1.
