Armana "Mony" Williams

Fayetteville, N.C. — A missing toddler was found safe Tuesday morning.

Wachaka Williams, 25, turned over her daughter, Armana “Mony” Williams, 1, to the Cumberland County Department of Social Services after friends told her they heard on the news that police were looking for the girl.

Williams contacted a family member and gave Armana to authorities. The girl was not harmed, police said. Williams will not face charges.

Armana was last seen on Feb. 28. Social Services took legal custody of the child and was trying to locate her.

I agree with the other posters. Its so good to hear that the little one is safe and sound. I know the mother is hurting right now but she did the right thing and hopefully she will get help.

Thank God, she has been found. I was wondering if the baby had been found. I hope the mother is okay as well, however; she might need stern counseling and get help ASAP.
