Henderson, N.C. — Southbound lanes of Interstate 85 near mile marker 214 in Vance County were shut down Tuesday morning due to a crash.
A tractor trailer ran off the road in a construction area and went into the woods at about 7:30 a.m. A truck then slammed on its brakes to avoid hitting the tractor trailer. Another tractor trailer then crashed into the truck.
Non-life threatening injuries were reported. The crash was partially cleaned up by 9 a.m., but southbound lanes were still closed. Traffic was being re-routed to U.S. 1.
