Lumberton, N.C. — A tour bus crashed in the median of Interstate 95 early Monday, killing the driver, authorities said.
No one else was on the bus at the time, authorities said.
A car was southbound on I-95 in Robeson County near the South Carolina state line at about 6 a.m. Monday when it ran off the road and hit a guardrail, authorities said. The driver, whose name hasn't been released, pulled back onto the highway and collided with the bus, authorities said.
The bus then veered into the median and hit a tree, authorities said.
The bus driver, whose name hasn't been released, wasn't wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
