Raleigh, N.C. — Marvin G. Mendoza Madrid, 32, of Raleigh died early Sunday when a car he was driving veered off Millbrook Road and crashed into trees, police said.
The accident happened about 3:40 a.m. near Pleasant Valley Road, police reported.
The eastbound lanes of Millbrook were closed for a few hours while police investigated and a tow truck removed the car.
Officers said a passenger in the car, Josue Flores, escaped injury.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident. They said they were awaiting toxicology reports.
