Authorities arrested a Raleigh woman Friday for allegedly breaking into vehicles to steal purses.

Arrest reports state that Angela Covington, 27, of 4701 Brockton Drive, broke into at least four different cars to steal purses in January.

She then used the money and credit cards to buy PlayStation 3 and other electronic items at Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart and Circuit City stores in Raleigh, police said.

Police also accused Covington of altering one of the stolen driver’s licenses with a friend’s picture.

She has been charged with financial identity fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, obtaining property by false pretenses, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and larceny.

Her bond was set at $500,000.
