Father, Son Wounded in Shooting

A father and a son were critically wounded in a Friday afternoon shooting, authorities said.

Harnett County deputies responded to a reported shooting at 414 Royal Pines Lane near Lillington at about 5 p.m. Friday and found Roy Rogers Ellis, 67, and Ronnie Roger Ellis, 45, with gunshot wounds, authorities said.

The father and son were taken to Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn and transferred to Duke University Hospital in Durham in critical condition, authorities said.

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

could have easily been a murder/suicide attempt

They said that 2 people were critically wounded and that the 'Police said they were not actively searching for a suspect'. That doesn't sound right! I guess they must of shot eachother.
