Cary, N.C. — Police on Friday were investigating the death of a Cary teen who might have killed himself thinking he had accidentally shot a friend moments before.
Justin Armond Monaco, 18, and three friends were in an apartment early Wednesday when Monaco started firing a revolver, police said. He didn't hit anybody, but might have thought he did, police said.
Monaco suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at WakeMed in Cary, police said.
Police were awaiting the results of an autopsy before deciding whether to rule his death a suicide.
