Raleigh, N.C. — Two men face armed robbery charges for a hold-up of a Raleigh convenience store that led to a police chase Tuesday afternoon.
The events began with a robbery reported at 5:49 p.m. at a Handy Hugo's convenience store at 6922 Buffaloe Rd., sheriff's spokeswoman Phyllis Stephens said.
The suspects fled in a car that a deputy spotted almost immediately and tried to stop, she said. The car fled, then crashed on New Hope Road near Capital Boulevard.
One suspect was arrested at the crash scene, Stephens said. The other ran, and deputies chased him to a Capital Ford building at 4900 Capital Blvd. He was arrested inside, she said.
Kendrecus Marquel Williams was charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon. Daniel Anotnio Sanders was charged with armed robbery.
