A Silver Alert has been canceled for a missing Raleigh woman.

Debra Lynn Groves, 19,  was last seen Monday at 5703 Beachwater Drive.

She was found unharmed near Triangle Town Cente Tuesday evening, police said.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.

I tell you, some ppl really need to get a life. If this had not been reported and the woman found dead or otherwise hurt then you would all be moaning over law officials not doing anything..You cant have your cake and eat it to. If you dont want to make the world a better place and do your part then just dont bother commenting.

Silver Alert is used for these folks to avoid having yet another named alert. It is appropriate in this case because of the maladies this young lady suffers with.

Praying for her and that she is found safe and quickly.

God bless.

Rev. RB

Hope she can be found quickly. I do think the use of "silver" alert can be misleading but if it does get someone's attention who may have seen this missing adult then I say use it! You don't have to be an old adult to be considered vulnerable.

* The person is 18 years old or older * The person is believed to be suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairment *

The report is incomplte and needs to include the above statement. Otherwise, questions arise as to why a "Silver Alert" would be issued for a normal appearing young woman.

Thank goodness they issued the alert, period. Hopefully she will be found and kept out of harms way. Praying for her and her family.
