Rougemont, N.C. — A Timberlake woman died Sunday night when her vehicle ran off the side of the road and hit a tree.
Cindy Crabtree, 40, was thrown from her Mini Cooper after it spun around, troopers said. She was driving north on Berry Road, just north of Highway 157, around 9:15 p.m.
Troopers said they don’t think she was wearing a seat belt. Speed and alcohol were not factors.
