Roseboro, N.C. — An overnight accident killed a Sampson County teen.
The crash happened just after midnight on Penny Tew Mill Road, near Feed Mill Road, in Roseboro.
Ryan Lee Butler, of Clinton, was driving a 1995 Dodge Intrepid when the vehicle hit the base of a bridge at 85 mph, the Highway Patrol said.
The impact split the car in half and Butler was killed on impact.
The 19-year-old graduated from Midway High School last year.
