Cary, N.C. — Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, for Matthew Kraft. The service will begin at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany in Kraft's hometown of Sayra, PA.
Kraft, 21, was killed early Saturday morning while sitting at a traffic light with his girlfriend.
Police say Kenya Alston was driving drunk when he slammed into the back of Kraft's car at more than 70 mph. The girl, Michelle Dixon, walked away from the fatal crash.
Alston, 31, of 237 Big Oak St. in Raleigh, surrendered to police March 3 and was charged with second-degree murder. In addition to murder, Alston faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and felony hit-and-run, Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
