Durham, N.C. — Police on Tuesday were investigating a slaying on Gillette Avenue.
A man standing on the porch at 1003 Gillette Ave. shortly before 7:30 p.m. Monday was struck by a bullet fired by a passing vehicle, police said.
Investigators said they believe numerous shots were fired from a gray or dark silver vehicle.
The man, whose name hasn't been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
