joeblow, the next time there is a urine soaked crackhead that needs searching, you're the man. It is not uncommon for an officer to miss a small amount of controlled substance. I was not there, but I can imagine how many times that officer warned that criminal about bringing drugs into the jail. It is acceptable to bring a prisoner to the jail and let the staff know to search him/her "real good". Most arrestees are not strip searched until they get to the "search area" of the jail. Jailors know this and make sure the prisoner is clean before they get to the other inmates. If we were talking about a gun, I might understand, actually not, I still could not understand your concern since you were probably sleeping in your bed when this happened.

ANOTHER PRIME EXAMPLE OF HAVING NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!! ........................ "I'm not excusing the fact he should be charged, but to charge him with having a controlled substance IN jail b/c the officer didn't search him well enough is bull!"...........................................joeblo w, you must be a police administrator, you think just like them. Why don't you take BLET and spend 12 months on the road telling real officers how to do business---- then you'll be ready for at least a Captain's position with a police or sheriff dept. But, then again, you might be there already.

ya, you're right he should've fessed up.

BUT

NCCop1

It is the cops JOB to FULLY search the suspect. Boy are you ever a typical hot head cop.

"That is DEFINITELY not going to look good on his application to Rocket Surgery Schoo."

What is a Schoo? And what is rocket surgery?

I agree that he'll be back on the streets in an hour!
