N.C. State Siren Test a Success

North Carolina State University tested the WolfAlert Audible Warning System at noon Monday. The system includes voice- and tone-enabled towers located throughout the campus and is intended to be used to warn campus of emergency situations.

The test , which lasted about 10 minutes, was a success, according to school officials.

Yes. I work in the Cameron Village area, and I even heard the sirens here on Oberlin Road. Of course at the time, I didn't know why I was hearing sirens, but now it makes sense.

I wish Raleigh also had some tornado warning sirens. That's one thing I miss from having grown up in the Midwest.
