Look, it's still a crime. Maybe he should have asked to see her driver's license, or, MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE WALKED AWAY?

No.. he deserves to go to prison, and find out what it's like to be the receiver of rape.

1crazygirl, there is a difference between statutory rape and other kinds of rape. There are different kinds of 19-year-olds and different kinds of 14-year-olds.

There is also a difference between a 14-year-old consenting to have sex with a 19-year-old and a 14-year-old consenting to have sex with a 39-year-old. The differences include power, experience, resources, and emotional maturity (it is to be hoped).

It looks to me as if, in this case, the young woman consented to sex with the young man, who is too old for her consent to be considered legally valid. If he were 15, I don't think there would be legal problems. Legal eagles, what say ye?

I also know that lots of people lie to get someone into bed or back seat. The only ones who know who knew what and when are the people involved.

Sexual abuse is not the same as bad decision-making or having sex while lying about your age or being lied to about the other person's age.

Castrate him.
