Benson, N.C. — An armed man fired two shots during a robbery at a post office in Benson late Friday afternoon, police reported.
A man entered the post office, at 402 S. Market St., and demanded money shortly before 5 p.m., police said. He fired two shots inside the building, but no one was injured.
The robber got away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
No customers were inside the post office during the robbery.
The U.S. Postal Service has take over jurisdiction of the armed robbery.
