Raleigh, N.C. — Members of the North Carolina Army National Guard were saluted Friday as they prepared for a deployment to Afghanistan.
The 382nd Public Affairs Detachment will support the 101st Airborne Division as liaisons between media and the military and as military journalists.
The seven soldiers will be deployed for approximately one year.
