Durham, N.C. — Deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force attempted to serve a Durham man on five child-molestation charges Wednesday, only to find him dead inside his house.
Timothy O'Neal, 41, of Sandy Bluff Court, was facing two charges of first-degree sexual offense and three charges of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
Marshals found O'Neal inside the house with a gunshot wound that, police reported, appeared to be self-inflicted.
