Selma, N.C. — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in Johnston County.
It happened at 7:25 p.m. off Thorne and Montgomery Heights roads, near Selma.
Carlton Alexander Sutton, of Selma, was walking west on Thorne Road when a Mitsubishi struck the 47-year-old man from behind.
No charges will be filed against the driver of the vehicle because Sutton was wearing dark clothing and was walking on the wrong side of the road, troopers said.
