Chatham County Deputy Stacy Deese, following a tip, arrested Jarvis Eugene Thomas, 47, Feb. 16 in Moncure.
Thomas was wanted in South Carolina. He was charged with being a fugitive of justice and was jailed in the Chatham County Detention Center under a $7000 secure bond.
He is awaiting extradition to South Carolina to face fraud and larceny charges.
