Driver Charged With DWI After Crash

Alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle wreck that left a 19-year-old hospitalized, state troopers said.

Jose Espino, of Newton Grove, was driving north on U.S. Highway 701, near Flowers Drive, in Johnston County around 6 a.m.

His 1995 Jeep ran off the left side of the road and struck a culvert, troopers said. The Jeep flipped three times before coming to a stop upside down.

Espino was taken to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries. He was listed in fair condition Saturday.

Troopers charged Espino with driving while impaired.

how about a charge for underage drinking, too??

Praying that he had valid insurance so that taxpayers don't have to foot the bill for his STUPIDITY.

Praying for him to heal and to get a clue - you don't drink and drive.

Praying for him to come to a realization that this was his lucky warning.

God bless.

Rev. RB
