Kenly, N.C. — Southbound Interstate 95 reopened late Friday afternoon after a wreck involving a minivan and a tractor-trailer, troopers said.
The wreck occurred at mile marker 107 in Johnston County shortly before 4 p.m., and all southbound lanes were closed for about an hour. Traffic was diverted onto U.S. Highway 301 while the accident scene was cleared.
Both drivers were transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Neither car was carrying passengers.
The driver of the van was charged with careless and reckless driving and driving with a suspended license, troopers said.
The names of the drivers were not released.
