Raleigh, N.C. — Authorities are pursuing new leads in the international search for Cesar Armando Laurean, according to NC Wanted.
He is the fugitive marine accused of murdering fellow marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach in Onslow County. She was 8 months pregnant at the time of her death. Her body was found burned and buried in Laurean's back yard.
"We believe this new information is good information. We also understand if he (Laurean) voluntarily left this country, he could also re-enter it at any point,” Capt. Rick Sutherland with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office told NC Wanted.
