Four Carthage Men Busted in Drug Seizure

Four Carthage men were arrested Tuesday in the culmination of a three-month undercover investigation by the Moore County Sheriff's Office, deputies said.

Investigators seized approximately 956 grams of powder cocaine, $1,341.11 in cash and a gun at 227 Heavenwood Road, Sheriff Lane Carter said in an announcement issued Wednesday

At 147 Hiddenview Drive, deputies found two more firearms and ammunition, Carter said.

J Luz Estrada Perez, 46, of 147 Hiddenview Drive, was charged with six counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, six counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, three counts of felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, two counts of felony sale of cocaine, two counts of felony delivery of cocaine and misdemeanor resisting, delaying or obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Perez was held on a $500,000 secured bond.

Rolando Orozco Alvir, 28, of 227 Heavenwood Road, was charged with 12 counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, six counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, three counts of conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, four counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, four counts of selling cocaine, four counts of felony delivery of cocaine and four counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.

Alvir's secured bond was set at $1 million.

Florencio Lopez Bautista, 30, of 227 Heavenwood Road, was charged with four counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, three counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony maintaining a place to keep controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony selling cocaine, and felony delivery of cocaine.

Bautista was held on a $500,000 secured bond.

David Cordoba Alejandro, 44, of 227 Heavenwood Road, was charged with four counts of felony trafficking in cocaine, three counts of felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony maintaining a place to keep controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony selling cocaine, and felony delivery of cocaine.

Alejandro received a $500,000 secured bond.

All four were held at the Moore County Detention Center.

With that said, you can bet, this is just touching the tip of the iceberg. There is probably 100X this much coke in Moore County. As long as we have these stupid drug laws, drugs will continue to be a huge profit machine, and you will not see and end to trafficing. At least now, more and more people are starting to realize that we are still losing the drug war. We will continue to lose it as long as we fail to adress the main problem....too much money to be made!!
