Weldon Man Nabbed for Dealing Marijuana

Marlo Ewing Price, 26, of Weldon, was arrested for attempting to sell marijuana Tuesday, according to the Halifax County sheriff’s office.

The sheriff's office worked with agents State Bureau of Investigations to bust Price on charges of:

  • possession with the intent to sell or deliver marijuana
  • selling marijuana
  • delivering marijuana
  • maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances
  • and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Price was confined to the Halifax County jail under a $2,000 secured bond. A court date was set for March 28.

I sure would like to know how much time and money will be spent on this "major bust", over a God given herb, which has never taken a life of anyone who has used it? Our lawmakers are a "joke", and those who enforce these unconstitutional laws are puppets, who violate their oath to uphold the Constitution!

Why not just give someone a posession charge.I mean dang you know they had to pick it up from someplace! Why all the trumped up charges?I guess it makes it appear better when the state gets ready to make him pay taxes on his Illegal POT.

Marlo Price, 2 DWIs, Possession of crack X2, possess with intent to sell and deliver crack, Drive with revoked license, Carry concealed weapon, and larceny.

I agree with ordinanry citizen. They should have just left this fine upstanding drug dealer alone.

What a waste of an arrest. Now we have another person going to jail on a minor minor offense. Lets spend money on arresting some hard core drug salesmans.
