Sanford, N.C. — Investigators said a Lee County man called relatives moments before he killed his wife and himself.
The sheriff's department was called to 5011 Valley View Dr. in Sanford shortly after noon Saturday. That is where deputies found the bodies of Willie Cornell Griffin, 49, and his estranged wife Rosalind Yolanda Griffin, 39.
The bodies were transported to UNC Hospitals for autopsies.
The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
