Missing Money Probe Ongoing at Wake County School

e-mail print friendly

The Wake County School System is looking into a case of missing money at a middle school.

Principal Patti Hamler confirmed at a parent meeting in December that an investigation was launched into misplaced funds at Leesville Middle School in north Raleigh.

A parent told WRAL that Hamler said uncashed checks had been found in closets, file cabinets and storage tubs.

The school system implemented stricter auditing standards after a fraud ring was uncovered three years ago in the School System Transportation Department.

I think it's time to start firing people. If you can't take care of TAX MONEY (PUBLIC MONEY), then you need to find another job. Period.
