Raleigh, N.C. — Three men shot another man during a robbery in the parking lot outside a motel on Capital Boulevard Friday night, police said.
The black men approached Raoul Gonzales Gutierrez, of Miami, while he was unloading a truck outside the Lodge America motel, at 3215 Capital Blvd., shortly before 10 p.m.
At least one man was armed with a semi-automatic .45-caliber gun, officers said.
The men attempted to rob Gutierrez and shot him in the stomach, police said.
Gutierrez was taken to WakeMed to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the robbers fled the scene in a late 1980s, black, four-door Chrysler New Yorker.
