Fayetteville, N.C. — A Fayetteville road was closed more than six hours Thursday following a natural gas leak.
B Street from Person Street to Grove Street was closed as authorities responded to the leak.
They received reports of it shortly before 10 a.m.
Police said maintenance and construction in the area caused the leak. There were no evacuations.
Streets that fed into B Street, including School, Link and Adam streets, were blocked off at B Street.
The road reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
