e-mail print friendly

Alcohol played a role in a fatal crash in Wilson County Thursday morning, authorities said.

Investigators said Pikeville resident Delton Alton Scherrod, 27, ran off Highway 117 near Black Creek. He hit a ditch and a utility pole and overturned. He was ejected from his truck.

Residents in the area lost power for a few hours while workers replaced downed lines.

Oh, and this is suppose to surprise anyone? More than likely it's a drunk that kills, while he is light as a feather in an accident... sorry for the loss, and have no sympathy for the one in wrong...

LOL, dataclerk. No fun in drinking, huh? I guess that's why hardly anyone does it.

But I am glad this guy didn't take anyone with him. Drinking and driving is really really stupid.

at least this drunk didn't take anybody else with him.

When are people going to learn that you cannot drink & drive. Its not worth it when you take a life. Start today letting some one who is not drinking, drive for you. That would be the safe way to go and tomorrow - you will be glad you did. How about not drinking at all? There is no fun in drinking alcohol/whiskey or beer any way.
