Durham, N.C. — The Mix 101.5 Duke Children's Hospital radio-thon began Tuesday and continues through Thursday, raising funds to help care for children of all ages at the hospital.
Last year, the radiothon raised more than $1 million. Bill and Sheri from the Mix 101.5 morning show kicked off the radiothon on their program.
WRAL-TV's Dr. Allen Mask joined them in the live event at the hospital.
The money goes toward research, training and providing everyday items for young patients.
