One month into a manhunt that has reached across the U.S. and into Mexico, a wanted Marine from Camp Lejeune is still eluding authorities.

Lance Cpl. Cesar Laurean left his Jacksonville home one month ago Tuesday. Investigators say he crossed into Mexico a couple days later.

Laurean is wanted in the killing of a fellow marine, Cpl. Maria Lauterbach. She was eight months pregnant when she was killed, and her burned body was buried in in a shallow pit in Laurean's back yard.

Several agencies, including the FBI , are helping with the case that is led by the Onslow County Sheriff's Office.

Laurean and commrades like him are a disgrace to the whole US Service. He's getting help. Why his comrades/helpers are honoring him, I'll never understand. I question why Laurean in the Military needed 3 alias. These solders are a disgrace to the uniforms they wear. They are a disgrace to the United States of America. I do hope someone/s find him so he can be held accountable. Cowards like Laurean and his helpers are cowards. They can not pay for the crime. My Dad was in the service. It gave him pride. He was respectfull of what is right and wrong. He died an Officer and a Gentleman. I know there is pride and honor in some service men/women. Most service people deserve respect for putting their lives in danger for freedom.

coward is right

I totally agree with you guys. He's not a man, appears to be an animal not fit for society. The FBI and "several agencies" are looking for him and can't find him?! Yeah-right! What a ridiculous statement. Isnt he now AWOL? Coward!

I will have to say, being the dog lover that I am. I resent your statements about him being a dog and lower that dog (bleep). It really gives dogs a bad name. But, you are correct he is the lowest of low. Too bad we are not going to be able to give him the death sentence because of the Mexican ruling about deportation of someone that will be getting the death sentence. Odd, they let everyone else come over here.

I could not hold it in any longer so I have to say, I sure hope and pray his wife has no clue where he is at because if she knows where he is and wont come forward she should pay the price also. Just to up and run and leave his family because he is not man enough to face consequences and turn himself in makes him lower than dog (bleep), to be sure he has contacted his wife, but with a coward like him who knows. I sure hope and pray he is found soon and brought to justice. There is a special place for dogs like him!!
