Child Struck, Killed by Mom in Car

Hoke — A Hoke County child was struck and killed by a car driven by her mother Monday afternoon, the sheriff's office has reported. Randi Rohler, 3, of Howell Place, was  in the driveway at the time of the incident.

Detectives are still investigating.

I am also like Proudofmysoldier, the women is also my friend. I have done research on this very fact to try to bring her some comfort. Did you know that 47 children were killed last year the same way and that is up from 41 the previous year. Some mothers can not take the grief and the comments that people make and take their own lives. Please be kind to this women she is an amazing mom who made a mistake. please I ask you all to be gentle on her.

OH also please do not judge my friend. You have not heard what has completely happened. It does not matter if a child is inside the house when you go to leave, children can still open doors and run out faster then anything. So please do not judge her.

My thoughts and prayers are with my friend and her family at this horrible time of loss. She is a wonderful person and her girls mean the world to her. This is such a tragic accident that has happened and Randi you will be truely missed sweet little girl.
