The Mix 101.5 Duke Children's Hospital radio-thon begins Tuesday.

Last year, the event raised more than $1 million. Bill and Sheri from the Mix 101.5 morning show presented the record-breaking check to hospital leaders.

The money goes toward research, training and everyday items for young patients.

Monkey, I don't want to sound rude here...I say this because it seems like you are trying to take a jab with your comment...but maybe the answer to your question could be due to the fact that Mix 101.5 is WRAL-FM. So, WRAL is basically sponsoring the Duke Children's Hospital Radio-Thon. I guess you could have found a write-up on the UNC kids Hospital-athon on the website for 96.1.

This is probably a stretch...but you wouldn't happen to be a UNC basketball fan would you?

did they do an article like this for the 96 rock/unc kids hospital radiothon?

We have a friend whose 11-month-old baby was diagnosed two weeks ago with medullablastoma. She is at Duke now receiving treatment. To say that this has been devastating on the family is an understatement. No one can possibly realize the impact until it happens to your own child.

Please donate if you can. wralfm.com

I am listening to them this morning and some of the stories are heartbreaking. This is a great thing they are doing. I know things are tight for some families, but if you can help please do. I am sure they will even take $5.00. I will be donating money on Thursday. It wont be alot but it will help!!
