Raleigh, N.C. — Wake County deputies arrested a 23-year-old Selma man on sex charges after he allegedly lured a minor online.
The charges against Charles Lynn Gillstrap, of 601 N. Webb St., claim that he used a computer to solicit a child to commit an unlawful sex act. The victim was under 16, according to the arrest warrant.
Gillstrap was charged with indecent liberties with a child. North Carolina law does not distinguish between soliciting a minor to perform an indecent liberty with a child and the actual commission of the act.
Gillstrap was being held in the Wake County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
