Durham police are searching for a teenager wanted on robbery and shooting charges stemming from a crime last month.

Terry Demetrius Lee, 16, of 905 East Club Boulevard, is wanted in connection with the Jan. 20 shooting of a man who was walking in the 1100 block of Gurley Street when three people approached him and demanded money, police said.

When the victim told them he had no money, one of the assailants shot him in the thigh, according to investigators.

Lee is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 160 to 170 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts is asked to call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4406, ext. 270 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Another teen, Ronald Ambrister, 18, of Wake Place, was arrested Jan. 20 in connection with the crime and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury.

...that's why I carry Federal Express....

how convenient they already had a picture of him

Who do these people think they are that they can just DEMAND money from someone then shoot him because he doesn't have any???? What the heck. Who has cash on them these days??I NEVER carry cash on me but I do carry something else and I'm not talking American Express.

When will young people ever learn. There are consequences when you commit a crime now its time to pap the piper. Maybe he will have learned after spending some time in prison. When is let out many years later he will be an old man.

Another one that has to kill someome before they'll be taken off the streets.
