Sanford, N.C. — A Siler City man died Thursday, a day after he was injured in a freak accident in Sanford, police said.
Scott Allen was fixing a shed at Shed Depot, a business that builds portable outside buildings, when the building collapsed Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Allen, 26, was airlifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill in critical condition. Doctors thought he would pull through, police said, but he died Thursday.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the collapse.
