e-mail print friendly

A man was hospitalized after a freak accident in Sanford.

At about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Scott Allen was fixing a shed at 2700 S. Horner Blvd. when it collapsed, police said. The accident happened at the Shed Depot, a business that builds portable outside buildings.

A helicopter took Allen, 26, of Siler City, to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, where doctors listed him in critical condition Wednesday night.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the collapse.

Such a sad loss. Scott was a great guy and I'm glad I can say he was a good friend. Rest in peace Scott. You will be missed. May GOD comfort the family in this time of loss.

I just received a phone call that Scottie passed away at 430. Rest in Peace Scottie.

I pray that this young man recovers soon. My prayers are with him and the family.

I too know Scott and I hope he recovers as soon as he possibly can.

Lord, I hope he pulls through. He's a good kid.
