Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested two brothers and charged them in connection with a recent robbery.
At about 5 p.m. Monday, police say John Maxwell Sizemore, 25, went into the First Citizens Bank on Stonehenge Drive. He wielded a knife and demanded money from the teller, police said.
After the robbery, John Sizemore fled the bank and was seen getting into a car driven by his brother, Jacob Albert Sizemore, 19, officials said.
The brothers were arrested a short time later near the intersection of Falls of Neuse and Honeycutt roads after a Raleigh police officer determined their car resembled the vehicle used in the bank robbery.
John Sizemore was charged with another count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery in connection with crimes at the State Employee’s Credit Union at 2401 Blue Ridge Road.
That robbery happened on Dec. 26, 2007, and the attempted robbery happened on Jan. 25. In both cases, John Sizemore approached people who were using the ATM, police said.
