What Are Wake's Hottest Housing ZIP Codes?

Raleigh, N.C. — Where are the hottest home-buying areas in Wake County? WRAL looked at sales data for December to see what ZIP codes topped the list.

ZIP 27610 in eastern Wake County had the most homes sold last month – 124. That area was fueled in part by growth near U.S. Highway 64.

Second place finisher was ZIP 27604, which had 81 homes sold.

Two ZIP codes tied for third place, 27502 and 27501, Apex and Angier, respectively. Each had 75 homes sold.

In the northern part of the county, ZIP 27587, came in next with 74 homes sold. That area was spurred by growth in Wake Forest.

Why isn't 27606 on that list. Anyone who knows anything about Pineview Style knows that's where it's at!

Hopefully, with the new town council that number for 27587 will go down. There's already enough people there, and enough grocery stores, shopping places, and eating places. What they need to do now is bring other businesses there with office buildings so people that live in Wake Forest can work in Wake Forest, too.

I can confirm that 27610 is not hot due to the desireable real estate. I see evidence in my subdivisio of home owners wanting to get out,there are two rental properties and one for sale sign on my cul de sac alone.

I live in Apex, 27502 and I am sick over the Town Council's continued greed and lack of true care and concern for the citizens. We are the next Cary. I left Cary for the same reasons I would consider leaving Apex - greed, failure to stop and check growth, hear the citizens responding with policies that ensure and protect our current way of life.

Yeah, these zip codes are not necessarily trendy. 27607 (NW quadrant of ITB) might be the 'trendiest' zip code code in Raleigh, with some of the highest increases in property values.

I think the only thing you can conclude is that these zip codes have the highest volume of sales.
