A Fayetteville couple has been charged after marijuana plants were found growing in a child’s bedroom closet, authorities said Tuesday.

Clifton Keith Hall, 29, and Valerie Wright, 27, both of 7947 Maxwell Road, have been charged with one count each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Wright is the parent of the 6-year-old child, authorities said.

Hall and Wright were released on their own recognizance.

Oh yes, some more hardened criminals caught with governments devil weed. This is really sorry of our society to subject this man and woman to the criminal justice system over a herb which can grow most anywhere (even in closets). I hope the "state" and those involved in violating these people rights, get their "high" by subjecting them to involuntary servitude, againist right reason, common sense, our constitutions, and againist the Supreme laws of the universe. Sleep well tyrants!

Put the child in prison!!! If he's growing weed at such a young age, just imagine what he'll do when he gets older!!!

Mommie, I can't find my sneakers. Your dope is in the way!

I hope that the child was taken away from them. What fine upstanding parents they are teaching a small child that it is OK to do illegal things, but at least they got caught.

Sprice7, you are taking my comment out of context. You are correct in your comment, but it was quite evident from the police report that in this case they were related. The drugs that were found were more than for personal use. There are no excuses for the demise of an innocent child because of what the parents are doing, which was illegal.
