Site SearchSanford, N.C. — Three men were facing charges in connection with a drug bust in Sanford.
About 2,400 pounds of marijuana were found Friday at a storage facility at 1144 White Hill Road, Lee County Chief Deputy Randall Butler said. The pot was valued at $5.8 million.
Thomas Beltran Ayala, 32, Auturo Celis Elizalde, 27, and Hector Javier Rivera-Lomas, 28, were arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, Butler said.
The men were held Monday night under $1 million secured bond.
