A 19-year old student was charged Wednesday with bringing alcohol and a weapon onto school property, authorities said.

James Randall Monroe, of 5474 Lazybrook Court in Fayetteville, was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21.

Monroe, a senior at Seventy-First High School, was arrested at the school after a BB gun and five bottles of alcohol were found under the front seat of a Suzuki Grand Vitera parked in the school lot, authorities said.

Welcome to WRAL

well, I doubt it was five bottles if Johny Walker Black.

I guess it's too dangerous to confront people with REAL guns...much safer to claim victory over a Daisy Red Ryder!

WHAT A DECEPTIVE HEADLINE!

A "bb gun" .... you have to be kidding!

Sensationalism is everything.
