Lumberton, N.C. — The state Attorney General's Office will decide whether to file charges against three Robeson County Sheriff’s Office employees who have been accused of having sex with a woman in their custody.
Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said the employees no longer work for his department. A bailiff and a jailer were fired, and a second bailiff retired, he said. The names of the men haven't been released.
The State Bureau of Investigation has handled the case since October, when the allegations were brought to the sheriff's office, authorities said.
